Book Reviews: Warsworn, Cursebound and Mercy Vow

Awhile back, I read and reviewed the most recently released books of the Warlords of the Sandsea novella series: Zula’s trilogy.

They are books 6, 7 & 8 of the series. Here are my quick thoughts on each novella:

Warsworn (Book #6)

Rating: 5 out of 5.

There was something so raw about Zula that really drew me in and made me love her. She’s been through so much hardship and came out on the other side quite hardened. She’s Ensii Talitha’s general (I freaking love Talitha’s story by the way, but I digress). Zula is a great embodiment of a true badass. A wonderful first novella in her 3-book story in the Warlords of the Sandsea series.

Cursebound (Book #7)

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Here we go with General Zula again! Loved this sequel to WARSWORN. Again, I can’t stress enough how raw Zula’s character is and how much I love that. I loved seeing her soften a bit and am looking forward to seeing her grow more. The ending is a trip and will have you on the edge of your seat. 5/5 stars!

Mercy Vow (Book #8)

Rating: 5 out of 5.

There were so many twists I didn’t see coming in this book! I wasn’t ready for it, and it took my breath away (in a good way). When it ended, my first reaction was, “No, wait! I need MORE!” But the story was over, and the author did a great job concluding it. No questions were left unanswered and didn’t feel like it was missing anything (except for, like, I wanted one more kiss scene but okay I guess not whatever it’s not like I care). 5/5 for this awesome read!

Elisabeth Wheatley is currently working on STONE DWELLER, book one of Shaza’s trilogy, also taking place in the intriguing universe of the Sandsea. I’m very excited to delve back into this series as soon as it is released!

Mercy Vow:

But I recommend starting with book one, ENSAADI! Talitha’s 5-book story is awesome, and I loved it so much!
