Lately I’ve been working on my website here! Can you tell? 😉 I think it looks a lot nicer than before. There’s still a couple of things I’d like to work out, tiny details that bug me, but so far I really like it. I also went a little crazy creating these images for my header:

Obviously I chose the latter one. 😀

I also created some promotional material that I really am excited to share with you guys! I don’t know; all of this just makes me so happy. ❤

In addition, I am currently considering some major life changes right now that will hopefully impact my writing career for the good. I will update you guys with the details when the dust settles.

But what about the actual writing part?

Yesterday, Elisabeth Wheatley (author friend; she’s awesome so go check out her website and read her books) and I got together for some accountability writing. We wrote together from 6 PM to 8 PM. We would set a timer and check back in with each other when the timer went off to see how the other was progressing in their current project. It was extremely helpful for me to get over that bump in the road I mentioned in my previous post. I wrote a total of 2,421 words during that time (not including what I wrote a little bit after 8PM; it wasn’t that much so don’t get super duper excited)!

I updated my word count widget in the sidebar to show my progress. Currently, my word count is 64,199! My goal on the progress bar says 70,000 words, but we all know that flexibility is important with novel writing. It could be shorter or longer depending on how the story needs to be told. But I can tell you this: I’m 100% MOST DEFINITELY in the final stretch (of the rough draft…but never mind that)! I only need the climax and conclusion more or less to write, then it’s on to Round Two! BOO-YEAH! (Nobody says that, but I’m not sorry).

Also, I plan on participating in more Word Wars with some of my Goodreads friends as well as doing more accountability writing not only with Elisabeth, but also with others who would like to join. I know that’s what REALLY ignites a fire under me and gets me pumping out those words.

All in all, yesterday was a great day for me (and quite productive). Here’s to many more great, productive days–not just for myself, but for you as well!
