“Wait. What’s this? Free time? I seriously have free time? I… I don’t know what to do. Should I study? Eh, I could but I don’t have a test tomorrow (rare). Should I sleep? I could, but I’m not tired, and if I sleep now, I won’t be able to sleep tonight. I feel a bit restless now…. What do I do? OH, hey, I know! I can WRITE!”
Yes, this is exactly what just happened. So, I thought I would sit down and spend some time working on my book. Then I thought to myself, “Actually, I should write a blog post.”
So that’s what I’m doing now.
Twenty Years of Age
First off, I start a lot of sentences with so. I’ll do better.
Ha, ha. No I won’t.
So… My birthday was a few days ago (February 1st), and I am now officially no longer a “teen.” 20 years and 3 days I’ve been on this earth now.
On a side note, my cousin’s birthday is today! He’s 16 now. Wait, what? Where does time go? Wasn’t I forcing him to wear my princess dresses and play “babies” with me just yesterday?
Well, here’s to growing up, I suppose!
Book Three in The Witches’ Sleep Trilogy
I am indeed working on Book Three when I can, but that DOES NOT mean I will be able to publish it this year, or next, or even the year after. Sometimes, you never know what will happen–not even us authors. Heck, I don’t even know what to CALL this book. Seriously. I’m just hoping once I finish, the title will be obvious and I’ll have a “facepalm” moment.
Like, “Duh, Kaitlyn! This is obviously the best title for it!”
Hopefully.
Nursing School
Nursing school has been wonderful, believe it or not. I sincerely enjoy the challenge it presents. I am actually ESTATIC to receive an 87% on a test! Why? Because I worked hard for that B+, thank you very much. Would I prefer an A? Of course. Am I happy with the B? Better believe it.
But it is stressful, too. I go five days a week, from 8 AM until 4 PM. I have tests usually four days a week, giving me barely a day to relax and catch up/get ahead. (Just kidding, I don’t do study on my “day of relaxation”; I sleep, but don’t tell my instructors that).
So, yeah, that’s basically it, I suppose. I have a bunch of funny/weird/awkward-yet-so-awesome stories, but I can’t post them here because I respect the privacy of my school and my classmates.
One month down, ten more to go!
How has 2015 treated you so far? Tweet me @kaitlyn_deann or comment below! I would love to hear from each of you!
Good luck with nursing school!! I will continue to wait patiently for book three!! 🙂

It’s awesome that you had a spare moment to write a bit! And furthermore, an 87% on a test is fantastic! May the rest of your nursing school experience go well.

Oh, happy birthday. 😉 Sorry, I missed it. Glad to hear you’re having fun in nursing school, devastated to hear that it’s going to be YEARS before WS 3. *sobbing in background*

*Sobs with you uncontrollably* I know, I know…. But it’ll be worth it in the end! (At least this is what I tell myself so I can sleep soundly at night). And thank you for the happy birthday wish 😉 Don’t worry about missing it. I probably have a few more to go. 😛

What, you’re twenty!?!? Geez, now I feel like a proper grandma, what with turning 35 in December. 😉 Congrats on completing another decade (see what a nice ring that has?). And yay for writing and nursing school both! I have serious trouble with titles, so I feel you on your Book 3 challenges. It took me a year (or more?) to name the book I’m working on now. Oh, the woes of an author. 😉
