Today has been a very awesome day for me, despite not having very much free time. Maybe it has a lot to do with the fact that it’s Friday!
FRIDAY, Y’ALL!
After I finished my schoolwork for the day, I got on Facebook to check my notifications. Well, I had a message from a very talented girl I met at the Writer’s Workshop I did in Weslaco in January. Her name is Stacey Rivera, and she drew this. THIS. It’s the main character of my book, Sunlight Reflecting off the Moon. In this sketch, Sunny has just been told that Kindness in His Heart, Prince of Raena, is her soul mate, and she doesn’t know what to think about it.
I knew immediately this was Sunny because of her signature moon necklace. Stacey did such a wonderful job depicting Sunny’s emotions in her art here, and she tells me she plans on doing more!
OH-MMM-GEE, guys. More art from Stacey?!
I am definitely looking forward to seeing them!
(P.S. If you haven’t heard already, so far the plan is to release the second book around Thanksgiving. As time progresses, I’ll see if I can set a more sure release date.)
Thank you, lovelies!
xoxo,
Kaitlyn
Wow! She is so talented! I wish I could draw… Alas, my talents must lay elsewhere…

Ha-ha! Good one. I though it said “Thanksgiving” but…wait, it does say that? We have to wait SEVEN MONTHS for WORLD OF THE BEASTS?! :3
