Here’s the thing: I want to talk about reviews. So far, The Witches’ Sleep has received 20 awesome reviews on Amazon! Some reviews are written by authors I love! I’m super duper dkla;noivoi thankful for these beautiful, beautiful reviews!
But I noticed something recently. Reviews have kind of stopped. Some people message me personally now to tell me how much they love my book, but they don’t write a review. This is touching, and I can’t express in words how much I adore getting those messages; they completely make my day! Buuuut…
The more reviews, the better. I’m not asking anyone to go out of their way to write an essay on my book and post it all over the Internet (although I’ll love you forever if you do that). All I want to request is the few sentences you sent to me be posted on Amazon. Or maybe Barnes and Noble if you can’t post on Amazon. Or maybe your blog. Just a few words about how you felt about the book is great!
Reviews are extremely important. They help books (and other great products) sell. The reason? If 149 people say it is amazing and only 23 people say it wasn’t, chances are that the person reading the reviews is going to think, “Hmm, I probably will like it then.”
No matter what, I’m still grateful to everyone who has read and loved my book!
I’d say kisses to all, but I don’t know if there are any kissaphobs reading this. I don’t want to make anyone uncomfortable or anything.

It is hard to keep up with!! Sometimes I’ll be casually surfing the internet, and I’ll run across a few thoughts on my book. It makes me go :O and then 😀 hahaha (if it’s positive…hahahaha)!

I’m glad to finally here an authors thoughts on book reviews! Everything you say makes a lot of sense, I know I personally as a reader pay a lot of attention to reviews of books, how many there are, and if it sounds like my sort of thing. 🙂
Have you thought about asking book bloggers to do reviews of your book? It would probably be a lot quicker and would also attract more readers. 🙂

Haha! I do the book reviews from bloggers a lot, actually! It is great promotion because their followers get to see what they thought of my book. Sad thing is, most of the bloggers will only post their review on their blog (which is sometimes hooked up to Goodreads). Those reviews never seem to make it to Amazon, where I think most people flock for reviews. At least I do.

Yeah that makes sense, there are so many places to add reviews these days! Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Smashwords, Goodreads, the list goes on lol. It can be hard to keep up. 😛

I unfortunately haven’t been able to get a copy of your book but as soon as I do, I will be more than happy to review. I love to read and write reviews on my blog just for fun. I do try to post on goodreads and amazon because it does help others know what great books are out there.

I completely agree!!! I only have five reviews for my book on Amazon, and three on Barnes and Noble. I’ve been asking *everyone* to write a review…because I figure, out of all the people I ask, only a few are probably going to remember to write the review. So…I plan on writing a review for your book when I’m done, which I will post on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Google plus….possibly my blog. 😉 I just need to finish it first, haha!
But yes – completely agree. Reviews make all the difference in a sale.
